Homework, Wednesday, 12th November

Maths: Practice 7-3 Arrays and an Expanded Algorithm; Enrichment 7-3 Crazy Cubes

Science: Read, watch, answer:
Japanese Giant Hornets will attack a hive of honeybees to steal honey and pupae to feed their young. European honeybees have no way to fight the hornets. You can watch this here, but it's very sad, and kinda scary.  Just 30 giant hornets can kill 30,000 honeybees in just a few hours.

Japanese honeybees have a special defense against the hornets.
Watch the video below, then answer the questions (bottom):

1. Copy and complete the following sentence in your Science notebook:
Japanese honeybees have learned how to kill giant hornets. This is an example of ____________ .

2. Only Japanese bees have learned this trick.  What do you think might happen to European honey bees if hornets continue to invade their nests?

Bonus Points!

If you can find a picture that we can use for any of these vocabulary terms;
